Samsung’s next generation smartphone, the Galaxy S6, is on its way and big things are expected. Right now there are rumors flying around and speculation is high on what to expect, but if the guys at Samsung are to be believed we could be looking at a game changer for smartphone photography. Here is a teaser video that the Korean smartphone giant released to keep us all guessing:
What We Think We Know
Samsung are keeping their cards close to their chests, but a few leaks are getting through. T-Mobile and AT&T recently released some pictures of the new S6, clearly showing that the smartphone will have a curved screen. Besides that, there is little information to share, apart from what Samsung are saying themselves.
Super Smartphone Photography
The Samsung blog reveals that there is much to expect from the new Galaxy S6. In their own words, “It will be intelligent and do all the thinking for users, allowing them to take amazing pictures under any conditions, without having to worry about anything more than just pressing the shutter button.”
You can be sure to see both high dynamic range (HDR) and phase auto focus (PAF) come as standard, but what we can’t be sure of is the megapixels for the front and back cameras. Speculation is pointing towards a 20 megapixel back camera and a 5 megapixel front camera, but this is still unconfirmed.
Not Long To Wait Now
If you’re getting impatient don’t worry, all will be revealed about the S6 soon. Samsung will be presenting its new flagship smartphone on March 1st at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. So until then, here’s hoping that the new Galaxy S6 will live up to the hype.
